Students will engage in eye-opening sessions about the most important public health issues of our time. Sessions explore epidemiology, infectious diseases and topics nutrition, sexuality, and mental health all with a focus on community health & well-being. Working alongside Brown School of Public Health graduate students, high school students will conduct independent research to study a community health issue of their choosing. This course will provide students an opportunity for college-level research methods. Most importantly, students will leave this course as an advocate for the health of their community.
